Overview of Hostel
Why choose to stay at Venao Cove?
Here is why - We take big pride in the property and like to think that it shows. With plenty of shady trees, lush vegetation, numberless singing birds and of course the sound of the ocean, this is a tropical paradise that we want to to share with you. Come and li
Go to the ALBROOK- BUS-TERMINAL.
Take the direct bus (directo) from Panama City to Las Tablas. Bus-schedule: http://thebusschedule.com/pa/
There is one direct bus from Las Tablas to Venao Beach that leaves at around 1:30pm
If you don't make that bus, there are hourly buses from Las Tablas to Pedasi.
There is a change of terminals in Las Tablas - Busses from Las Tablas towards Pedasi leave from in front of the supermarket 'Supercentro Rosa'. Note: see map attached.
Buses from Pedasi to Venao leave three times a day: 7:30am, 12:00 and 2:00pm. It is important to say here that buses often don't leave exactly on time, they might even leave a little bit early.
Taxis from Las Tablas to Playa Venao are about US$40
Taxis from Pedasi to Venao Cove are about US$25
Venao Cove is the last entrance on Playa Venao, to the left. The bus-drivers know the place. Tell them 'la ultima entrada!' :)
From Tocumen Airport take the freeway to the city (corredor sur).
Leave the city over the Bridge of the Americas (puente de las americas).
After you have crossed the bridge, drive for about 2 1/2 hours until the town of Divisa.
You have to really watch out not to miss the turn-off in Divisa (especially driving after dark). This is where you turn off from the pan-american-higway, onto the peninsula of Azuero.
Just before Divisa there are billboards advertising the town and the coast of Pedasi, that's where you want to be heading. There will be a turnoff to the right, with a small bridge veering to the left, (in a curve above the highway) and then down towards the towns of Chitre, Las Tablas, Pedasi and finally, at pretty much the end of the road, Playa Venao.
It might be smart to have a closer look a map around the towns of Chitre and Las Tablas - so you have an idea where the by-passes are and where to go in case you miss them and end up driving through the towns.
People are always willing to give you directions in case you get lost! :).
Reaching far into the deep blue pacific, the magnificent coast of the Azuero-Peninsula is a top destination for fishing, diving and surfing. At one end of Venao beach, to the west, lies Venao Cove, tucked into the bay, resting upon the jungle. Despite of being right on one of Panama's most popular beaches this place almost feels like you are on a different planet, far away form the 'beaten track'. This is the ideal place to spend a few very tranquil days on the beach.
